Save the date: August 13th and join us at PUBLIC HOUSE!

Thursday August 13th from 7pm to 9pm Republic, Ofer Love and the Cooke Center for Learning and Development will be hosting a fund-raising event at PUBLIC HOUSE at 140 East 41st Street in Manhattan.

$35 dollars at the door gets you all-you-can-drink and other treats. The proceeds go to the Transition to Life program at the Cooke Center Academy , a private high school for children with developmental disorders, such as Autism. Over the next several months REPUBLIC and STIMU-A will be working together to produce a series of fund-raising events to support the Transition to Life program and The Cooke Center Academy art program, including a fashion show and a curated multi-media exhibition of work by students of promise at the academy. Several professional gallery represented artists who began life with very much the same types of developmental disorders that the Cooke Center is so effectively helping their students to overcome and manage will also be involved.

Every Thursday evening PUBLIC HOUSE hosts its Charity House contest which rewards the charity cause that can turn out the largest number of people with a grand prize of $3000 to be shared between the cause and the charity organization or team throwing the event. We need all of your support. The Transition to life program receives no state or federal money to operate. It is an essential program for children with special needs to learn how to operate independant lives outside their classrooms and into their adult lives. The money we raise from your generous attendance will go directly to that program and the production of the several other fund-raising projects we have planned for the Cooke Center through December.

PUBLIC HOUSE is a truly amazing space. You can see more pictures and find more information about the Charity House program at
